Ask for regular donations towards our work

Arts & Crafts - if you or someone you know has an artistic talent such as painting, photography or pottery, hold and exhibition/sale with a percentage of the proceeds being donated to The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum

Auction - ask shops and local businesses to donate prizes

Auction of promises - ask friends and family to donate their services; such as cooking dinner or gardening for the highest bid

Baby competition - ask friends or colleagues to bring baby photos of themselves. People pay to guess who's who

Book club/scrabble club - ask for a donation to come along

Bring and buy - you could do this at your local community centre, at home or at work

Carol singing - you could try carol singing at your local park, shopping centre!

Casual day - get permission at work or school and dress down at a price and donate the proceeds to The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum

Coffee morning, cake sale - Why not combine it with a raffle or selling handmade cards?

Collection - you could hold a street collection or ask your church/place of worship to give the proceeds of specially organised collections to The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum

Concerts - try making contact with a local singer, group, celebrity or orchestra and ask if they will donate a percentage to The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum in return for your help in promoting the event.

Dine on a dollar - cook for friends spending no more than $1 (US) in the local equivalent to highlight the challenges of our less fortunate children

E-bay - sell your unwanted items - set up and account and watch the money roll in!

Elvis night

Email - send out event invitations by email and encourage them to be sent on and on and on...

Fashion show or fancy dress party

Fetes and fairs - have a craft or bring and buy a stall. Why not have a collection tin or some games to earn extra donations?

Give up your bad habits! Get everyone you know to sponsor you - your pain our gain!!

Guess the number - e.g. balloons in a car, sweets in a jar etc

Hobbies - what hobbies can you utilise, sport, walking, cycling, art and craft etc

Information - give people as much information as possible about The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum and what we do and encourage them to get helping us to help the children of Bridgton, for real!

 

Jumble sale

Karaoke evening

Lunches - organise a summer garden party, a barbeque, or take it in turns with friends to cook a lunch and pay to go along

Lunch-less - set a date for all your colleagues to bring in a packed lunch and ask them to donate the money they would have spent buying their lunch

Murder mystery party

Meal - negotiate a deal with your favourite restaurant for a group booking, charge a set rate and donate the difference to The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum

Open the door - make a small locked door with a donated prize behind it. Have a bucket of keys. People pay to select a key. One key fits the lock and wins the prize

Party - 50's, 60's 70's, 80's themed, no theme or just for fun!

Piggy back existing events taking place in your local community. You'll be surprised how many will be willing to give a % to charity.

Posters - put these up anywhere you can think of and which is allowed, to promote your next event

Press coverage - submit an article or write to the letters page of your local paper about your event. Why not invite a reporter or photographer to the event itself?

Quiz night - organise your own

Radio - local radio stations are a great way to get the word out!

Special occasions - ask for a donation for The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum instead of a present for that special birthday or anniversary

Sponsored activities - you could walk, run, swim, dance, skydive or even shave your head!

Street collections

Themed meals - why not ask your guests to come in the traditional dress of a particular country or in fancy dress?

Treasure hunt - teams pay an entry fee with a prize for the fastest

Twenty-four-hour marathon - stay awake, dance-a-thon, sponsored silence

Tin - collections tin or buckets to take to events. Ensure that you have the appropriate permission

Unwanted and unused gifts (also those of friends and family) - can be used for prizes and car boot sales

Walks - do a sponsored walk or arrange a walk and simply ask for a donation for people to take part

Websites - ask your local businesses if you can have a news item or a banner on their website promoting The Scrosoppi Sorgsentrum

Wine tasting evening - Guess where the wine comes from. Charge admission and to take part in the tasting.

Zest and Zeal - essential if you are going to make the best of your fundraising. Your fundraising will make a real difference to our children's lives. You should be proud that you are doing it! KEEP US UP TO DATE WITH YOUR PLANS!
