POVERTY
The obvious poverty of deprivation and hunger is relatively easy to treat with hand-outs and food.
It is much harder to simultaneously treat the other types of poverty that our children suffer. Even more treacherous and destructive deprivation prevails here and is our real challenge – not only hunger and material poverty, but lack of care, lack of culture, lack of stable family life, lack of security and protection, lack of interest and scope - lack of love. Help us to love our children more effectively, by helping us to help the children of Bridgton, every day, for real!
